Marilyne Lavoie works as a paralegal for the commercial and litigation departments since she joined the firm in 2014.
Marilyne assists the litigation attorneys by keeping their Court agendas updated, drafting legal documents and correspondences, filing procedures and carrying out various researches within the Land registry, the Superintendent of bankruptcy, the Register of personal and movable real rights and Court dockets.
As part of corporate and commercial transactions, Marilyne helps the attorneys in the preparation of documents required, such as, but not limited to the creation of numerous legal and corporate vectors (corporation, non-charitable organizations, trust, etc.), fiscal rollovers, mergers and reorganizations, articles of amendments, financing and various agreements regarding purchase of shares and dissolutions. She also plays a role in supervising and organizing closing meeting to ensure the execution of documents.
Furthermore, Marilyne is responsible for due diligences, corporate minute book maintenance and filing of annual reports before the provincial or federal government agencies and drafting of related documents. She is also Commissioner for Oaths.
